Come and share in the beauty of waiata alongside our kuia, as we connect through song, story, and spirit. This kaupapa is an opportunity to learn traditional waiata, honour atua wāhine, and experience the joy of lifting our voices together. Whether you are confident in singing or simply want to be surrounded by the power of collective voice, you are warmly invited to join. All wāhine are welcome — bring your heart, your voice, and your wairua.
Mana Wāhine week prides itself in creating woman only spaces, however, Ruapōtaka Marae is an open venue, and therefore men may be present at our kaupapa held there.
This kaupapa will be:
- Hosted at - Ruapotaka Marae, 106 Line Road, Glen Innes
- Held on - Wednesday 1st October, 10am - 11.30am
- Lead wāhine will be - Waimirirangi Howell from Ruapotaka Marae
