About the event

Tūrama

Tūrama, the hugely popular series of large-scale, illuminated art installations, returns in 2025 to light up Queen Street.

Transforming the street into an outdoor sculpture walk, Tūrama will help you rediscover the Waihorotiu Valley. Imagine how it looked and felt in centuries past, as Tūrama gives you a symbolic look back at time and place.

Tūrama is a creative collaboration between artists Graham Tipene, Ataahua Papa and Angus Muir Design, with Auckland Council city centre place activation principal Barbara Holloway.

Supported by mana whenua Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland Council.
