Te Rito Foundation invites wāhine Māori to share your kōrero as part of our WAI 2945 claim under the WAI 2700 Mana Wāhine Kaupapa Inquiry.
🌿What is WAI 2700?
WAI 2700 is a kaupapa inquiry led by the Waitangi Tribunal, focused on how Crown actions and policies have historically and systemically undermined the mana of wāhine Māori. It addresses:
* The loss of traditional leadership roles
* Disempowerment through colonisation
* Systemic failures in justice, health, welfare and education
* State violence, tamariki uplifts, and structural inequality
* The need to restore the mana, tino rangatiratanga and oranga of wāhine Māori
Our claim, WAI 2945, speaks directly to these experiences through the lens of Te Rito Foundation and we now open this kaupapa to include your voices.
