Ready to build on your foundation? Salsa Improvers Level 1 is the next step after our Pure Beginners course, perfect for those who have learned the basics and want to develop the flow of dancing skills further to the Improvers level.
In this 6-week course, you’ll refine your technique, learn new moves, and gain confidence on the dance floor. This course is designed for both leaders and followers in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment.

North Shore Latin Dance brings an exciting journey into the world of SALSA & BACHATA with our Beginners 6 Week Course.
Meet beginner-friendly steps, creating the perfect foundation for your dance adventure.
Throughout the course, Salsa On1 basic moves will be taught by Mai Dahlberg to both LEADERS and FOLLOWERS in a fun and interactive learning environment and we will ensure you receive top-notch guidance throughout the classes.
No previous dance experience or partners are required to take the classes.
Teacher: Mai Dahlberg is a profoundly experienced dancer and teacher. Specialising in Street Latin dances like Salsa On1 & On2, NY Mambo and Cha Cha Cha (Boogaloo), Pachanga, Bachata, Merengue and other Latin styles. Mai has trained and performed internationally, including New York and Australia. She has won numerous titles in both New Zealand and Australia. She is also a qualified professional ballroom teacher.
