Come to the Bike Hub Glen Innes on Sunday, August 3rd, and join us as we pedal together to the city centre via Te Ara ki Uta ki Tai shared path. Discover alternative ways to get to work, meet new people, or simply explore the city by bike with us!
We leave at 10am from the Bike Hub Glen Innes on Taniwha Street. Then we hop on Te Ara ki Uta ki Tai shared path. We'll stop at The Urban Market at Sunhill Garden Centre for some snacks (on us!), visit the Bike Hub Glen Innes stall at the market, and get our bikes checked for free. Afterwards, we'll continue along the path and cycle to Waitematā (Britomart) Station.
Riders must bring their own bikes and helmets (safety first). E-bikes are welcome, but the pace will be suited for push bikes, no drop.
The ride takes about two hours and covers roughly 11 kilometres one way. It officially finishes at Waitematā (Britomart) Station at 1pm. We will cycle back to GI as a group, but this part is optional. If you want to stay a bit longer in the city or catch the train home, feel free to do so!
