GUETS POET
Chris Tse
Aotearoa’s outgoing Poet Laureate, has spent his tenure lighting up the literary stage with work that’s bold, intimate, and unafraid to challenge. He’s redefined the role—bringing poetry out of the quiet corners and into the spotlight with sharp wit, pop culture flair, and emotional depth.
Whether writing about love, loss or cultural identity, Chris blends the personal and political with lyrical precision and an instinct for performance. His words don’t just land—they linger, unsettle, and uplift.
For one of his final Laureate readings, expect more than just poems on a page. Expect humour, heartbreak, and a celebration of poetry’s power to connect and confront. If you’ve seen him before, you know. If you haven’t, now’s your chance to witness one of Aotearoa’s most original literary voices doing what he does best.
GUET MUSICIAN
Carawei
