Guest Poet - Tawanda Manyimo
Tawanda Manyimo’s love for music, language, poetry, and performance has led him on a creative journey he continues to embrace with gratitude.
Sharing this passion with like-minded people is a deeply fulfilling part of his experience.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Tawanda moved to Palmerston North, Aotearoa New Zealand, in the spring of 2003 at the age of 22.
In 2008, he auditioned for and was accepted into Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School.
Since graduating in 2011, he has worked in a range of theatre and film productions, while continuing to write and share poetry as part of his artistic expression.

Lily is a singer-songwriter from Aotearoa whose sound leans into R&B and alternative indie.
Alex is a singer-songwriter and gifted guitarist from South Africa, drawing inspiration from a range of shoegaze artists and bands.
The two met while studying at SAE Creative Media Institute and quickly discovered a shared passion for music that blended their styles effortlessly. As the duo Jade Elaine, they are working to refine their vocal and guitar skills, with plans to release an album together in the near future.
