Ground-breaking electronic artist and composer Peter Hobbs is touring his stunning new immersive 3D AV show around Aotearoa in Oct-Nov 2025 joined by drummer extraordinaire Isaac Levi Tucker, producer-performer-poet Miss Leading, Raiatea synth artist Gotal Bournier, taonga puoro master Thomas Carrol and fellow experimentalist Waiwhai, Tokyo dancer Misako Kikuchi and Haszari musically lubricating from the decks.
Peter Hobbs
Known for his award-winning cinematic and emotional body of work in recordings and immersive art works, Hobbs' new album Panpsychism is a vehicle for his masterful songwriting driven by experimental beats on a highway of immersive synth soundscapes, through an immersive visual-reactive world.
He is performing his modular synths and immersive AV show alongside legendary percussionist and drummer Isaac Levi Tucker.
Gotal Bournier
Gotal Bournier is a French electronic musician living between Tahiti and Tokyo. Between 2012 and 2017 he released four albums in Japan with the band Lo-shi. Since 2018 he has been based on the island of Raʻiātea, working on solo recordings and various live collaborative projects. His current solo project is a playful and wryly nostalgic live soundtrack to a video collage of Cold War Era science fiction films using the spectral, alien tones of twin modular synthesisers.
Thomas Carroll and Waiwhai
Thomas Carroll’s (Ngāti Maru, Hauraki; Pākehā) has developed a voice with ngā taonga pūoro that conveys the artform as a living and evolving entity using electronic instruments to create a breathing, evolving soundscape world with fellow experimenter Waiwhai.
Misako Kikuchi
After studying classical ballet at an early age, Tokyo-born dancer Misako Kikuchi went on to explore modern ballet, contemporary dance, street dance and flamenco, while refining her own improvisational approach. Her performances create uncontrived moments of beauty that make you feel that being alive is not irreconcilable with being free
Haszari
Haszari is a DJ, producer and sound artisan from the deep south, now based in Tāmaki Makaurau. His original music focuses on the space between sounds, blending ambient, dub, minimal and breakbeat. As a DJ he’s unafraid to cross the genre streams and never too serious to get down.
