Three bands. Three moods. One stage. Big Mood Shift is your midweek dose of sonic whiplash — from indie shimmer to metalcore breakdowns to grindcore chaos. No genre boundaries. No chill.
Bear Science open the night with fuzzed-out indie rock built for late-night drives and early morning regrets. A tight 3-piece from Auckland, they bring hooks, heart, and just enough distortion to keep your feet moving. Nothing Nice follow with a full-force metalcore assault — five members, zero restraint. Influenced by Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, and Killswitch Engage, they deliver breakdowns built to cave in your chest and riffs that turn Dead Witch into a furnace.
Then there’s Bottom of the Barrel. We’ve only been sent a photo. No bio, no links, no names. Just three figures: one in a clown mask, one in a red bandana under an army helmet, and one in a Nasum shirt with patched jeans and a ripped knee. There are drumsticks, punk boots held together with tape, and zero facial expressions. If the look says anything, it’s grind/punk, chaos, and no interest in being understood. All improv. No mercy.
Happy Hour drink specials 7pm to 8pm before the show, then again 12am to 1am after the show. Food available all night!
