This a great walk for both dogs and humans.
I prefer climbing up the sand dune but if anyone has bad knees we'll walk the beach first! We can decide in the morning.
Directions: When you see the Muriwai Fire Station, turn right onto Coast Rd. Follow the road to the very end. You'll pass the golf course on the left. The end is a cul-de-sac-like carpark with public toilets.
Near the start of the walk if we walk on the beach first, we will need dogs on leash as cars as they need to travel fast so they don't get stuck in the sand. The rest of the walk is off-leash.

Walk time appx 2hrs, 5-9kms (vague memory)
Generally flat walking surface.
Bring water, leash, towel, camera, sturdy shoes, snacks (optional), weather dependent clothing, maybe an extra pair of socks or jandals.
