Leah Jane is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and event producer based in Brooklyn, New York City. Born in the UK and raised in Aotearoa, Leah’s family tree and creative practice spans continents.
In 2023, Leah received a Fulbright Award to move to the United States and study Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at the New School’s College of Performing Arts. Leah has recently graduated, finishing her studies with the self-publication of her first book Meditations for Musicians.
Leah has a background in law, curating live events, and radio hosting. Leah has self-produced a concert series called Pōneke Sessions, a cross-genre music ensemble called Gallery Orchestra, and several recording projects with artists like Arjuna Oakes and Tāmira Pūoro Duo. Leah is passionate about cross-genre interdisciplinary art-making, self-producing and arts equity. She is motivated by decolonising art spaces and building new worlds for her friends to inhabit.
