Matariki ki Waipareira 2025
Celebrate the Maori New Year at Matariki ki Waipareira on Thursday 19th June 2025, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at Harbourview/Orangihina Park, Te Atatu Peninsula.

Join us at this FREE whānau event for an evening full of vibrant cultural performances, delicious traditional kai, engaging arts and crafts, exciting carnival rides for the kids, and a spectacular light show culminating in a dazzling fireworks display.

Come together with family and community to honour Matariki, the star cluster that marks the start of the Maori new year, in a festive celebration of culture, unity and renewal.
