🍷 Takahiro Koyama, founder of Koyama Wines (Waipara), whose winemaking journey began in 2003 when he moved from Japan to study at Lincoln University. His elegant reds and whites have captivated wine lovers around the world.
🍶 David Joll, head brewer of Zenkuro Sake (Queenstown) - New Zealand’s first and only sake brewery, producing award-winning sake using pure alpine water and premium rice.
The Menu:
Crafted by Chef Akihiro Nakamura, Head Chef at Katsura, the six-course menu fuses traditional Japanese technique with modern creativity. Each course is paired with either sake or wine, showcasing the harmony between Japan’s culinary heritage and New Zealand’s finest craftsmanship.
Throughout the evening, hear personal insights and stories from Takahiro and David - longtime friends whose paths have crossed continents in pursuit of perfection.
