Lasting change in public health takes collective voices – and a shared focus on prevention.
The Healthy Futures Summit, hosted by Health Coalition Aotearoa on Thursday 21 August at Te Māhurehure Marae in Point Chevalier, brings together those working to put prevention at the centre of Aotearoa’s health response.
This is your opportunity to be part of a focused, cross-sector conversation and help strengthen the collective voice for health prevention in Aotearoa.
We’ll open with Mayor Wayne Brown, who will share Auckland Council’s 10-year plan for Thriving Communities.
Professor Gary Sacks, a global leader in prevention economics and food policy, will deliver the keynote on what effective prevention policy looks like – and what needs to happen now.
Dr Corina Grey and Dr Nick Chamberlain will share national insights on how prevention is being prioritised – and where there’s more to do.
This day is for:
* People influencing health through policy, research or advocacy.
* Those focused on alcohol harm, junk food marketing or nicotine regulation.
* Anyone committed to shifting systems toward long-term wellbeing.
We look forward to seeing you for a rich day of learning, collaboration and connection.
