Community Kōrero: Suicide Prevention & Safety Planning

Suicide is something that impacts all of us in some way. If someone you know is struggling, would you know what to do and how to support them to keep them safe?

In this kōrero, we’ll be learning about topics such as understanding suicidal thoughts, recognising the signs and risks, and how we can respond in safe and practical ways – including developing a safety plan to support someone who’s struggling.

This session is for anyone and everyone – whether you’re a parent, teacher, youth worker, health professional, or just someone who wants to know how to support people in your life. Together, we can create communities where everyone is empowered with the knowledge and tools to ensure that our communities are loved, supported and cared for. Come along and invite a friend!
