Community Garden: Lila Tirando a Violeta [Hyperdub / N.A.A.F.I.]

Community Garden are thrilled to announce that Montevideo’s Lila Tirando a Violeta is coming to play with us - October 4th at Whammy Bar.

Lila presents a strong back catalogue - releases on labels like Hyperdub, New Motions, Activia Benz, and N.A.A.F.I. - with collaborations alongside Loraine James, Amnesia Scanner, and Nick León among others.
Now based in Ireland, Lila is literally following the sound of our manu back south to Aotearoa

Lila’s latest album ‘Dream of Snakes’, on Berlin’s Unguarded, and her recent ambient EP ‘Obsidian Within’ both showcase her keen sensitivity to environmental elements - summoning up new atmospheres with her tino āmiki sound design. These most recent releases range across pensive, ririki moments to super kinetic, post-punky hard dance works.

Joining Lila Tirando a Violeta’s live show in support are Tāmaki’s own fern and dj kristen stewart.
