Drop-in to meet the local organisations working towards a more connected and resilient community after local flooding.
This is a chance to sit down for a kōrero with representatives from Auckland Emergency Management, Neighbourhood Support, SPiCE, Gribblehirst Community Hub, Urban Ark, STEPS, Friends of Oakley Creek, Earth Action Trust and the Flood Recovery Office.
Following major storms and flooding in our area, SPiCE is working with the Tāmaki Makaurau Recovery Office to facilitate community-led recovery planning in the Sandringham and Balmoral communities to improve connectedness, well-being and resilience.
Alongside other local groups, we are supporting our communities to connect, work together, and consider how we can all support our community to thrive.
This project is about recognising our community strengths, celebrating what makes our neighbourhoods special, and ensuring the things that matter most are protected and prioritised into the future.
Drop-in to Mt Albert Library anytime between 4.30pm-6pm on Thursday 31st July to find out what’s happening in our area, ask questions, have your say and get involved!
