The Calimero Challenge for 2025 is back by popular demand! Run on Tuesday nights in May from 6pm, this is one of our most fun tournaments of the year and a great event to kick off the Winter Season. Open to Members and Non-Members and All Levels of Ability.
Event Details:
Start Date: Tuesday 6th of May 2025
- Time: 6pm each week for 4 weeks
- Format: Doubles, Teams of 4 players assigned with a mix of All Levels playing Doubles each week for 4 weeks with Special Challenge Rules to make it fun for all.
- Cost: $15pp (Member), $20pp (Non-Member); Dinner Provided.
Format Details:
- ~6-8 Teams of 4 Players per Week. Try to keep teams together as much as possible subject to availability.
- Rankings 1 : 4 assigned on the Night.
- 2 Teams Play against each other for the Night.
- Doubles Play against all other Players in the Opposing Teams, i.e. Doubles Play against Players 1 and 3 ; Players 2 and 4, Players 3 and 4 and Players 1 and 2 etc.
- ~6-8 Rounds per Night = 3-4 Doubles Matches per Player
Rules:
- Fast 4 Format: First to Win 4 Games
- 5 Point Tie-Break at 3-3 Games
- No Let Serves. Play either In or Out
- Sudden Death at Deuce, Equal Rank Player Must Serve to Equal Rank Receiver at Sudden Death Deuce
- Each Player has 1 Power Play (Double Points) on their Serve Per Match (Play against your level or better on your Serve)
- Player that has the Last Double Daisy (Double Fault) of the Game Donates $5 to Bar
- Double Daisies entitle the Player to be in draw to win $250 Bar Tab.
WINNING TEAM (Each Week) = Most Games Won, Overall Most Games Won on aggregate
LOSING TEAM = CLEANUP: Unless same Losing Team as prior week. Different Team each week.
