For over 135 years, the Avondale Racecourse has built up a significant history, but has also attracted its fair share of folklore and myth. Local historian Lisa Truttman explores both aspects in an illustrated talk spanning the early beginnings of the Jockey Club and the racecourse it built in the heart of Avondale, through to the present as we await news of its future.
