Afrokin Youth Fest

Join us for a vibrant celebration of creativity, music, and culture!

In celebration of NZ Music Month, this events performance lineup has been thoughtfully curated by Creative Pwele who are all about supporting local artists. This lineup will feature artists of African descent who are bringing a fresh sound to Aotearoa's music landscape, blending global influences with their own distinct perspective.

Alongside the music, House of Afi will lead creative activities designed to foster cultural exchange and self-expression. House of Afi is home to art, ritual, adornment and spiritual self-care, with a strong commitment to uplifting creators of African/Afro descent.

Afrokin Youth Fest is part of Africa Month, an arts and culture programme that celebrates the diverse African diaspora communities in Aotearoa in the lead up to Africa Day in May. To stay up to date with the Africa Month programme for 2025, follow Vocal Roots on all social media platforms.
