The laughs are coming to Auburn when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage in the speakeasy at Prison City Brewery on Thursday, Aug. 7. Steve Wrigley is headlining and Doogie Horner and host Mike Peters will be there, too.
It's completely free to attend. Seating at the State Street location begins at 5 p.m., and the show starts at 7. A limited dinner menu is available.
Only 50 tickets are available. No reservations will be taken.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Doogie Horner was a semifinalist on America's Got Talent after winning over a raucous New York City crowd. He performed on Dave Chapelle's Oddball Comedy Tour and is a frequent guest on Doug Loves Movies. He is the author of the holiday classic, A Die Hard Christmas, and has written for Wired, McSweeney’s and Fast Company. His comedy album, A Delicate Man, was an AV Club Staff Pick.
Steve Wrigley is a New Zealand comedian based in Rochester. Well established outside of the United States, Wrigley has appeared on several TV shows – 7 Days to AotearoHa, the Comedy Gala, After Hours and World Famous with Ben & Steve with Ben Hurley. Wrigley’s become a regular face around New York since relocating, working regularly anywhere there’s a mic and a stage.
