Civics Lab - DeKalb County

Join us Saturday, Sept. 6th at 10am for a Civics Lab at the Eckhart Library, Assembly Room, main level. Here you will learn about who your legislators are, how to contact them, working the IGA website, your voter portal, and an overview of bills that did and did not pass in recent sessions. We will also include information on a likely upcoming special session and how you can get involved.

This class has been helpful for those who are newly into civics and we even have seasoned participants who learn new information too!

MADVoters’ Civics Literacy Labs are in-person, interactive workshops presented to advocacy groups, social organizations, and communities around Indiana. The purpose is to provide Hoosiers with important, nonpartisan information about the civic process so that they can better advocate for themselves and their communities. Education is Activism!
