We are offering two, lecture styled and hands on learning, indoor classes to welcome you to the world of beekeeping: Beekeeping 101 and 201. These classes are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of honeybees and beekeeping. The first course, Beekeeping 101, provides an introduction to the biology of honeybees and the foundational equipment used by beekeepers. Beekeeping 201 builds on this knowledge by teaching you how to perform a hive inspection, identify a healthy colony, and track your data using hive logs. These classes can be taken together or separately on the same day.
The classes will be hosted at the Science Center inside Green River College!
