2025 Horse Show Schedule
May 10 – June 21 – July 5 – August 9 – September 6

Show to start at 9:00am
Disciplines:
English - Western - Ranch Horse - Games
- Open (Any Age) $10
- Youth (18 & under) $8
- Walk-trot $6
** No entry fees will be refunded once paybacks have been determined – NO EXCEPTIONS
Office Fee: $10
- SPLIT: $5 to ARSA / $5 towards year-end awards
Rules:
- Sign-ups begin at 8:00am and the show will begin promptly at 9:00am
- Sign-ups will close for the first four classes at 8:45am
- 2 Participants are required for a class to be held
• Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Awarded at each show for Open, Youth, Walk-trot
In the event of a tie,
- Show day tie breakers:
• the horse/rider with the most 1st places within that show.
• If a tie continues, then it will go to the most 2nd places and so on until a winner is determined.
- Year-end tie breakers:
• The horse/rider who compete in the most shows (meeting minimum show eligibility)
• If a tie continues, the horse/rider with the most Grand Champion awards for the current season. If a tie continues, then it will go to the most Reserve Champions awards for the current season.
• The tie continues, the horse/rider with the most 1st places during the current season. If a tie continues, then it will go to the most 2nd places and so on until a winner is determined.
Payback will be 60%
• Awarded to 1st - 4th place as applicable
• No entry fee refunds will be given once paybacks have been determined – NO EXCEPTIONS
Points:
o Points earned: 6 - first place, down to 1 - 6th place, as applicable
o Points will be based on horse/rider combination
o Participants must compete in 3 of the 5 scheduled shows to qualify for year-end awards
o If a horse becomes unable to complete the series, a note from a veterinarian must be presented to office staff prior to entry of the next show for points to be transferred to a different horse for the completion of the series.
Walk-Trot horse/rider combo cannot compete in Open/Youth.
No stallions in Youth or Walk-trot classes and the Attica Horse Show Management reserves the right to excuse unruly or dangerous horses.
Show management reserves the right to split, combine, or cancel any class
Current negative Coggins dated 2024 or 2025 and current rabies certificate must be in owners possession while on Attica Rodeo Grounds
Per NYS law no person under the age of 18 shall ride a horse without a helmet meeting or exceeding ASTM standards
Youth / Walk-trot riders are REQUIRED to display their helmets for inspection by either the chairman or the judge before the start of EACH division
ARSA and its volunteers are not responsible for accidents or loss to horse, rider, personal property or spectators
Unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind will NOT be tolerated. Any unruly behavior that is exhibited by a contestant, parent, or spectator will result in the disqualification of the participant without refund
