The Jam is open to all levels of improvisers every Thursday night at 7:00 PM. You will find a fun and friendly environment where anyone can come and learn the art of creating hilarious improvised scenes and characters. Whether you are brand new or a seasoned veteran of the improv comedy scene, you are welcome to come and play. Each jam is led by an improv veteran, and consists of exercises and scene work.
The Jam is 'Pay-What-You-Will'. All registrations levels get you the same experience. You decide the price.
Jam Rules:
- Everyone who attends should plan to play. You cannot "just watch."
- Generally, keep scene content PG-13. If it slips into R-rated once in awhile, that's not the end of the world. We're not worried about swear words. But the jam isn't the place to do super raunchy humor, or make jokes denigrating anybody. Be cool.
- Keep all physical contact "office appropriate." Don't grab people, grope people, or pick people off the ground if you don't know them well enough to know they are okay with it.
-There is no video recording allowed during The Jam.
- Be sober. If you appear intoxicated, you will not be allowed to participate in The Jam.
- Be on time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not be able to participate in The Jam.
- Anyone in a scene can stop the scene or activity at any time.
-Participants must be over 18.
- Don't give unsolicited negative feedback on other people's scenes, including sounds (grumbling) or rolling your eyes., etc. Again, be cool.
