It is time for our annual get together before we all converge at the collection of hotels in downtown Atlanta that we lovingly call home, to once again slay the mighty Dragon. This will again be hosted at Dad's Garage. This event is open to all TechOps volunteers and any of your friends or our colleagues from other Dragon Con departments that actually want to come be social with us.
What does this mean? It means this will be mostly inside without mosquitos, overly oppressive humidity, or the unknown threat of inclement weather. There is an area out front of the venue with some outdoor seating areas. You CAN eat/drink/smoke outside the building inside of the roped in area.
READ THIS:
One special note for this event: You cannot bring your own alcohol. You can order drinks at the full bar or some snacks to go with beverages (menu link below). There is also a water fountain and bottle fill station for your water bottle. You CAN bring whatever you want to eat! There will be tables and chairs set up so you have a place to eat, drink, and be merry with your favorite people from Dragon Con. If you want to bring any other food things to share, there will be a table set up for this too.
There is a parking lot directly across the street from the venue. There is also street parking.. just be aware of the one-way streets. We have already been warned that car break-ins do happen, so don't leave anything of value in your vehicles. If you need to bring anything inside, we will find a place to store it -- there is ample room. There is also a MARTA station nearby (King's Memorial ~1/2 mi).
Come hang out with your TechOps friends before we are all running around like chickens with our heads cut off!
