In honor of Black Birders Week—an annual celebration uplifting Black voices in birding and conservation—The Streets Is CAWING invites you to join the flock on May 31st for a day of discovery, joy, and connection in nature. Born from a call for justice and inclusion in the outdoors, this national event reclaims space and amplifies presence in the wild.

While you’re out there, keep an eye out for the Cascade Springs Nature Conservancy’s signature bird—the striking pileated woodpecker. With its bold red crown and powerful flight, this beautiful bird is a sight to behold. Don’t forget your binoculars—you won’t want to miss it!
