Deep Listening Scavenger Hunt BlurbThere are hidden melodies and beautiful sounds in every aspect of daily life - we just need to pay attention to them! Join ATLCMC Percussionists as they explore these long-lost sounds in long-form pieces throughout the many spaces at the South River Art Studios. Enjoy the resonant frequencies of gongs, drums, and vibraphones andexplore otherworldly sounds of triangles, rocks, and cacti - and join in the hunt for beautiful sounds by improvising with us!

Join members of the ATLCMC along with members of the community as we play music by Julius Eastman and Frederic Rzewski, as we celebrate the end of our season with two of America's finest post-minimalist composers. Both Eastman and Rzewski were what one might reasonably consider "radical" composers for their time, given how outspoken they were about their politics. But their radical beliefs in shared human decency, equality, and resistance are ones we resonate with.

Be careful crossing the train tracks when entering the property. Look both ways. Active train. No crossing arms.
