🌸 Save the Date: Vu Lan Ceremony – Saturday, August 23 at 6 PM
At Quang Minh Temple – All Are Welcome
Lễ Vu Lan is one of the most meaningful and heartfelt festivals in Buddhism—a time to honor our parents, ancestors, and those who came before us. Celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month, it’s also known as Wandering Souls Day or Ullambana Festival, and is lovingly recognized in Vietnam as a kind of Mother’s Day, centered on gratitude and filial piety.
Join us on Saturday, August 23, starting at 6:00 PM for a beautiful evening of ceremony and community celebration. We’ll gather to offer prayers, light incense, and share stories and songs in remembrance of our loved ones. 💛
• Flowers will be passed out during the service for remembrance and to honor all mothers—past, present, and spiritual. 🌺
• After the service, we’ll enjoy music and entertainment, sharing joy and togetherness in the spirit of compassion.
• Attire: Modest dress is appreciated. Please avoid sleeveless shirts and skirts or shorts above the knees.
• Vegetarian refreshments will be provided. 🌱
• Whether you come to reflect, reconnect, or simply to experience this sacred tradition for the first time, you are welcome in our circle of peace.🕊️
Details to come. Stay tuned—and we hope to see you there. 🙏
