Ruchira Gupta's New Book "The Freedom Seeker"

Join us as author, activist, and Emmy-winning documentarian, Ruchira Gupta, discusses her book, "The Freedom Seeker." In this middle-grade novel, Gupta delves into the struggles of a fictional Indian family and their search for a better life. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Simi, the twelve-year-old daughter of the family, finds herself alone near the southern border trying to seek asylum in the United States. Come and listen as Ruchira Gupta and Barbara Smith, Carter Center Vice-President of Peace Programs, dive into the lessons that Simi learns along her dangerous journey.
