This August for a limited run, PushPush Arts presents the premiere of I’m Not Decent, a fresh comedy by Atlanta-based playwright Jeffrey Butzer. The show is being developed and produced through SeedWorks, PushPush’s artist-led incubator that supports the creation of original work.
I’m Not Decent tells the story of two young people who are desperate to imagine—and write—their way into a better future. Through fantasies, role-play, and poetic storytelling, the characters attempt to navigate love, uncertainty, and the blurry line between dreams and reality.
“People like to pretend to be other people,” one character muses, setting the stage for a whirlwind of shifting identities, partners, and possibilities.
At just over an hour, I’m Not Decent is a rush of “what ifs”—an imaginative, quick-witted ride through comedy, longing, and unexpected turns. Whether you're bringing a date or flying solo, I’m Not Decent offers a fun, offbeat take on modern love and identity.
