REThink the Narrative and The Esteem Awards present – Artists in the Afternoon 2025 to be held on Saturday August 30, at the Auburn Avenue Research Library 101 Auburn Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303. This is a free event with free food and door prizes. Join us for an afternoon highlighting written and spoken word, music, art, and more.
Moderator: Dr. Derrick Tennial
Confirmed Panelists: Allen R. Wells, Writer and co-founder of BlackCreatorsinKidLit; Michelle E. Brown, women's/civil/gay rights activist and author; Kenan Cooper-Gilmore, the visionary behind Black Gay Table Talk — a platform amplifying resilience of Black LGBTQIA+ voices; Author Doug Jones, of recently released debut novel, "The Fantasies of Future Things."
