Divas Drive Trio is a dynamic and evocative jazz ensemble that explores the rich language of post-hardbop through a curated repertoire of jazz standards. The trio features the expressive voice of Liza Lembezi, the intricate guitar work of Sotiris Choutos, and the refined harp of Irene Tabour, whose vision shapes the musical identity of the group.
At the heart of the project lies a dedication to crafting a unique sonic world for each piece performed. All arrangements seek to imbue each piece with a distinct emotional landscape. Drawing from the full palette of jazz improvisation, the trio constructs vivid musical images, each guided by specific adjectives and moods chosen to illuminate the core of the original compositions. The group's approach to improvisation is not only technical but deeply emotional, using the language of jazz to tell stories, paint scenes, and provoke reflection
