Join the AACC, the Athens community, and our holiday helpers on Friday, December 5th, to light the Community Tree and celebrate the start of the holiday season!

Activities start at 6:00 pm, as Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by horse-drawn wagon and officially light the Community Tree, located at the corners of Court and Washington Streets. Following the tree lighting, Santa will be stationed in his workshop to greet and take pictures with his fans, and Mrs. Claus will be waiting outside to hand each child a candy cane.
The fun continues until 8:00 pm, with horse-drawn wagon rides and holiday activities, provided by AACC members and hosted at Uptown businesses, including:
*Hot Box Chicken & Tots, 74 North Court Street – Activity TBA
*Big Run Kava Bar, 72 North Court Street – Hot Chocolate and Face Painting
*Kismet, 19 West State Street – Bracelet Making

*Bagel Street Deli, 27 South Court Street – Coloring Pages
*Ohio is Home, 43 South Court Street – Wooden Ornaments
*Uptown Realty Group, 10 East Union Street – Holiday Sticker Craft, Coloring, Cookies
*Central Venue, 29 East Carpenter Street – Prints, Plants, and Pots Sale (4:00pm – 8:30pm)
