A263 Pottery I: Intro to Wheel Throwing

This 8-week class meets Tuesdays from 12:00PM-2:00PM
September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28 & November 4

For Ages 16+

This class is a great opportunity to start your journey into functional ceramics. The potter’s wheel is a useful tool with a long history. In this class you will learn all the fundamentals of throwing pottery, from preparing the clay to glazing the surface.

Demonstrations include cylinders, mugs, handles, bowls and trimming. Available Open Studio time outside of regular scheduled classes, assures that you will have plenty of time to practice your new skills.

Tools and materials for this class are included with registration.
