About the event

Sacred Womb: Rites, Ancestral Wisdom & Traditional Midwifery
📅 July 29–31
📍 Mysen, Norway — surrounded by serene nature
👩‍🦰 For women only
💫 Held by Dona Francisquinha & Andreia Shawandawa

Step into a sacred three-day retreat guided by two generations of powerful forest women: Dona Francisquinha and her daughter Andreia Shawa. Together, they will open a deeply nurturing space for women to reconnect with the womb, the Earth, and ancestral feminine wisdom.

This intimate retreat is a unique opportunity to receive traditional teachings from the Shawãdawa lineage of the western Amazon. It is open to women of all ages who feel called to deepen their connection to their body, their inner wisdom, and the cycles of nature.

🌿 About the Guides
👵 Dona Francisquinha is a traditional midwife, healer, and spiritual elder from the Shawãdawa people—part of the Arara Nation in the western Amazon of Brazil. She is the daughter of the shaman Naytãnã and healer/midwife Rôapay. From early childhood, she was trained in the spiritual and medicinal knowledge of the forest, walking alongside her father to learn the sacred use of plants.

She began assisting births at 15 and has spent decades guiding home births, offering plant-based healing, and working deeply with spiritual cleansing and energetic balance. She is known for her ability to sense spiritual blockages and guide people back into harmony with nature and themselves.

In 2004, she was invited into the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, a global alliance of women wisdom keepers. In 2013, she was honored as the Planetary Grandmother of Brazil during a gathering in Barcelona. Now 68, she continues to share her healing gifts and deep presence with humility, love, and clarity.

🌸 Andreia Shawa, her daughter, is a traditional midwife, herbalist, and spiritual practitioner, raised within the same lineage of forest knowledge. From a young age, she learned to prepare medicines, work with plant spirits, and care for women—especially through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Andreia brings a grounded, heart-centered presence, blending ancestral midwifery with a holistic approach to modern womanhood. Her work focuses on emotional and energetic balance, womb healing, and reconnection with feminine power. She represents the new generation of forest women: rooted in tradition, open to connection, and dedicated to healing.
