John Willis is one of the best known television executives in the country, having been Director of Programmes at Channel 4 and Director of Factual and Learning at the BBC. He was Chairman of BAFTA 2012-2014 and is currently Chair of Governors at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. He read history at Fitzwilliam College Cambridge and is the author of ‘Nagasaki: The Forgotten Prisoners’, ‘Churchill’s Few’ and ‘Fighter Boy: The Lives of Geoffry Page’. His latest book ‘The People’s War’ (BBC/Random House) draws on the vast BBC ‘People’s War’ archive and will be released in May 2025.

Dr. Robert Lyman MBE FRHistS turned to writing military history following a twenty year career in the British army. He regularly works as an adviser and commentator on military matters in film and television and is a biographer of Field Marshal Viscount Slim. He is the author of many acclaimed non-fiction military titles such as ‘Operation Jericho’, ‘J*il Busters’, ‘Into the Jaws of Death’, ‘Operation Suicide’ and ‘The Real X-Men
