Step Back in Time & Celebrate Our Pioneer Heritage!
Join us for a weekend of history and community at the 35th Annual Log Cabin Days. This cornerstone fundraiser fuels the upkeep of our historic sites, brought to life by our dedicated volunteers. Set at the historic Blakeslee Log Cabin, this event highlights pioneer living with two full days of:
-Blacksmithing
-Broom-Making
-Basket Weaving Demonstrations
-Monarch Butterfly Presentation by Linda Porcello (1 PM both days)
-Foraging Walks for Wild Plant Identification
LIVE MUSIC by the Picklemilk Old Time String Band (Saturday, 1-4 PM)
& so much more.
Admission is FREE! Bring the family, wear your old-time styled fashion, and savor the legendary bean soup. Immerse yourself in Ashtabula’s rich history and top it off with local handmade pie.
About the Venue
The Blakeslee Log Cabin, built in 1810, is the oldest cabin in its original form in the Western Reserve. Open for tours during the event, it offers a glimpse into pioneer life.
