This event is for those keen to come to the Mangatainoka Motors Japanese Car Day hosted at Tui Brewery on the 27th of July at 9am onwards.
This will give us a good option to convoy up together to all arrive at once.
This is my first time going up but seems to be that we get there at 9am to park up before public comes at around 10.
For those local to lower wellington region I am planning to park up at the Petone Train Station on Pito-One Road (Parking next to the Arise Church)
I think we should aim to leave this spot at about 7am for the 2 hour drive to the Tui Brewery. (Please try be there before the time we wish to leave).
We will then coast up the highway and could potentially do a stop off past Upper Hutt at the Aston Norwood Cafe/Function Centre (Or let me know of a good spot not too far off highway). We can stop for a few minutes at a spot or just do a drive by at I would say 20-25 minutes after we leave first spot (7:20 ish).
We will continue over the Remutaka Hill and could stop over at the Clareville Bakery (if anyone wants to meet us there/grab a bite to eat), this part of the drive will take about 35 - 40 minutes (8:00 ish)
Our next stop will be in Pahiatua (thinking the BP, as it looks to have some room for parking to let us all keep together and pick up a few people who have confirmed to meet them there). It will take about 50-55 minutes from Clareville so depending if we stopped or not, arrival just before 9:00
From there it will be a 5 minute drive into Tui Brewery.
Pito One Road - Petone station parking (7:00 leave)
Aston Norwood - Drive by or stop off (about 7:20)
Clareville Bakery - Pop in for a quick snack (about 8:00)
BP Pahiatua - Stop off to grab a few Palmy People (about 9:00)
Will arrive at Tui Brewery at 9:05 if we don't stop, but guessing 20 minutes total stop over time. (If people want we can leave Petone earlier to have more time spare - could leave 6:45 instead)
Please don't hesitate to reach out, flick me a message, add a post etc. for some ideas, but think this is a good starting point with options for people to join the convoy.
