Synchronous Shows & Foxfire Glows: The Bioluminescent Insects of NC

NC is home to an impressive diversity of glowing insects, including fireflies, glowworms, and a really interesting little fly that lives in the mountains. In this presentation, we'll learn about the diversity of the state's bioluminescent insects, how they make their light, and what they do with it. We'll also talk about threats to these wonderful animals and what you can do to help them.
