Upcoming Priestly Ordination in the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi

With hearts lifted in thanksgiving and joy, the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi joyfully announces the Priestly Ordination of four deacons into the Sacred Order of the Priesthood.

Date: Saturday, 12th July 2025
Venue: Cathedral of Our Lady of Assumption, Nnewi
Time: 10:00 AM

This sacred rite will be conferred by His Lordship, Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye, the Chief Shepherd of our Diocese.

These young men, having been found worthy in character, formation, and faith, are set to become alter Christus — other Christs — in service to God and humanity.

We invite the faithful, friends, families, and the entire Church community to join us in prayerful support as they step into this eternal “Yes” to God.

“You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” — Psalm 110:4
