Blacksmithing Workshop

Join blacksmith Tim "Beard" Hibbs for a blacksmithing workshop in Arthurdale's historic forge. This workshop will cover the basics of blacksmithing as you create a fire poker inspired by a historic Arthurdale fire poker made in the same forge.

Note: If you took the previous blacksmithing workshop in April, this class will build upon what you learned in that class. If you didn't attend that workshop, no worries! This is still a beginner friendly workshop.

Students are required to wear close-toed shoes (boots are strongly encouraged) and long pants (no shorts or leggings). You will be working with fire and hot metal, so proper protection is important. You will be required to fill out a waiver before the class begins. Students encouraged to bring their own hammers. You are responsible for bringing your own lunches for the lunch break.
