Crankie Workshop

Join performer-composer and storyteller Annick Odom to explore the magical world of crankies—hand-cranked illustrated scrolls that bring stories to life. Over the course of three art-making sessions, participants will design and create their own collaborative crankie(s) using drawing, painting, collage, and fabric. Storytellers and music-makers are also welcome to join. The series will culminate in a final showcase where participants share their crankie(s) with the community, along with several crankies Annick will bring.

No prior experience is required—just bring your imagination! The workshop is open to anyone interested in storytelling, music-making, or visual art.

This class meets on 4 consecutive Thursdays in October:
October 2, 7:00pm-8:30pm
October 9, 7:00pm-8:30pm
October 16, 7:00pm-8:30pm
October 23, 6:00pm (to finalize crankies), 7:00pm-8:30pm (final performance – open to the public)
