#LitterHeroes - Litter Pick around the pathways of Augustine Gardens and area

Our next Litter Pick will be on Saturday 19 July at 2pm. We will be litterpicking in the Augustine Gardens and surrounding area. Meet on the car park on Augustine Gardens. Look for the red Astra.

Bestwood St Albans Ward covers St Albans Parish and Bestwood Village Parish areas

This time we will be litter picking along the parhways around Augustine Gardens. Next time it will be somewhere else. We welcome the ideas and suggestions of residents. Please get involved – we can’t do it without you! Experienced litterpickers and newcomers equally welcome.

I will be providing verbal and written safety information and litter picking advice. Children are very welcome provided they are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult who will remain responsible for their supervision and safety at all times.

I will come with litter pickers for you to borrow plus blue rubbish bags to put the litter in. Please can everyone wear clothing suitable for the weather and closed-toe strong shoes. We advise bringing sunscreen, hat and water. I will also have a limited supply of protective gloves but it would be very helpful if you could bring your own garden gloves. I will also have a supply of hi-vis vests but again, if you can bring your own that would be great.
