About the Performers:
Sharny Russell: A seasoned and highly respected Australian jazz singer, pianist, and composer, Sharny brings her "extreme class" (Financial Review) and profound understanding of jazz to the stage. She has recorded on the ABC Classics label, won an APRA Award, and performed with legends like James Morrison and George Golla.
Rob Van Gend: A distinguished classical musician, teacher, and orchestral performer (violin/viola), Rob holds multiple AMEB Diplomas and is known for his commitment to the Baroque and classical repertoire. His extensive background with the Australian Youth Orchestra and Armidale Symphony Orchestra ensures a masterful delivery of the program's classical heart.
