Kids, Teens and Money

Four times a year, this year, May 31, June 21, August 16th and September 20th, we’re proud to host youth ages 8–18 for our Young Entrepreneurs events at the Arlington Farmers Market.

But one of our favorite traditions happens each May — a special workshop open to all kids in the community, focused on kids, teens, and money.

This year, we’re excited to add something new: a short segment on creative ways young entrepreneurs can market their products — a great boost for any budding business owner!

This event is hosted by the Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Arlington Farmers Market as well as Ryley from Edward Jones, Whitney from Coastal Community Bank, and new this year Portia from Girlfriend Getaway Guide. We will also hear from two of our teens Achaia and Xander about their businesses.

Join us at the Arlington City Council Chambers on May 8th at 6 PM as we share more how to money smart and how knowledge about their spending or saving, is empowering the next generation of local leaders.
