Help keep Pantego – and your garage – beautiful by clearing out limbs, brush, bulky items, unwanted furniture, and general debris.
**This year, there will also be a shred truck.**
This cleanup is only for Pantego residents and is ‘first-come, first-served’. Please bring your driver’s license. Staff will be on hand to help unload items. The event will end at 1:00 p.m. (or earlier if the container reaches capacity).
Household hazardous waste (HHW) will NOT be accepted. This includes items like batteries, paint, solvents, yard and pool chemicals, and other items that should never be disposed of in landfills or curbside trash due to their potential to pollute soil and groundwater.
CWD provides curbside collection of properly bagged HHW on the third Wednesday of each month. Find out more at townofpantego.com/trash.
Other items that will not be accepted include:
• Medical waste, pills, or needles
• Electronics and smoke detectors
• Tires of any size
• Ammunition or explosives
• Butane or propane cylinders
• Hazardous waste or regulated materials (e.g., asbestos, Freon appliances, lead paint, and mercury thermostats)
This cleanup event is a great opportunity to remove any limbs that overhang the street. Such limbs are against Town Code because of their ability to impede or cause costly damage to fire trucks. No branch or growth can overhang a street lower than fourteen feet (14') or a sidewalk lower than seven feet (7') (§12.08.004).
