DANCE: An Introductory Modern Movement Class with the ENCORE DANCE ENSEMBLE

Join the local Encore Dance Ensemble for this fun introductory workshop! Encore is a troupe of women age 40+ who perform original works demonstrating lifelong learning and personal fulfillment through the art of dance. In this hour-long class, company members will guide you through a series of activities that include: warming your core and limbs ~ increasing your movement vocabulary ~ learning dance phrases ~ exploring improvisational movement ~ bringing joy and fluidity into your body and soul. As the class concludes, Encore members will perform excerpts from their repertory of original choreographic works, tying in some of the movement phrases from the class.
