We will be starting our Sunday evening service starting after a summer break on Sept 7, 2025 at 6 PM. We sometimes call our Sunday evening service our evening fellowship service. The evening service is a more varied service in its offerings, but is usually built on an expository study of a Bible passage. And it allows for more fellowship and interaction. It is a nice way to end "The Lord's Day."
Even if you come in the morning, a Sunday evening service can be another multi-generational opportunity to study the Bible.
It can provide a more relaxed time for body-life engagement.
It can provide an in-person occasion if you have had to miss the morning service.
It provides for some who must work on Sundays or for those with the occasional sport or club conflict.
It can be a special time of testimony, sharing of cheers and tears, extended fellowship. Many stay after to chat.
It can be a service more open to participation.
It can be a time for extended Lord's Supper, a business meeting, a missionary report and other varieties of meeting needs.
It can be a good place to consider a topic from the morning service, or talk about further application or discussion from the morning service.
It can be a time for special fellowships, i.e., pie or cookie, or other.
It can be a place for a young preacher to have opportunities to speak.
It can provide another opportunity of service in the church, i.e., ushers, audio visual help, nursery care.
