Do you need a fresh look at your script?
Screen Talent Europe is organizing a virtual script room for scriptwriters and directors, with participants from different European countries.
All you need to participate is a script draft, a computer, and internet access. In the virtual script room, three to four filmmakers convene online, each with their own short film script, providing feedback on each other's projects. This unique approach allows you to test your work at an early stage and gain fresh perspectives on your material.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀?
Before the session, all script room participants read each other's scripts and prepare feedback. Mediefabrikkens mentors Anniken Fjesme and Guro Ekornholmen are leading the discussion and creating a safe space where the filmmakers can express themselves. Over many years, Anniken and Guro have developed methods for feedback that aim to create change in the project in line with the filmmaker's intention.
Participants are obligated to dedicate the entirety of the day from 09:00 to 16:00.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆?
Young scriptwriters, producers, directors, and others in need of guidance on a short film script. The script room is best suited for manuscripts that are on their second draft or later. The program is open for young talents between the ages of 22-33.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆?
Submit a short film script of up to 15 pages. The script will have to be submitted in English.
Include a brief description of yourself as a filmmaker, limited to half a page.

𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
- Participants must have a connection to one of the Screen Talent Europe partners. A list of partners can be found on the application form and the Screen Talent Europe website.
- The participant must be between the ages of 22-33.
- Applicants must apply with a project in development, either fiction or documentary, with a maximum length of 20 minutes.
- The short film script can be no longer than 15 pages.
- The script room will be conducted in English.
𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀:
- Deadline for application is September 7th, 23:59.
- You will receive notification of your selection status by September 17th. Please hold the date for the STE Script Room until participants have been announced.
- You will need to reserve time before September 24th to read the other participants' manuscripts. (MAX 3 manuscripts.) You will receive the other participants' scripts on September 17th.
